Mr. Lantra is a highly experienced professional in the tourism and hospitality industry, who studied at Ultra Hotel school and started his career as a room boy in year 1986 , then moved to Front Office Department , thereby steadily progressing into Sales & Marketing, and then to the position of General Manager. His industry experience includes a long career at Confifi Group Hotels for over 12 years , then moved to Maldives in year 2007 as the General Manager of Marketing for the renowned Adaaran Resorts until the year 2014. Prior to his career with Exciting Travel Holidays, he worked as CEO for the Amagi Group of Hotels. Mr. Lantra is the guiding force in the Exciting Travel Holidays office, directing the team to strive in the best of their abilities. H​e has been a champion athlete in college and his interests include soccer, volleyball, cricket, music, travelling & exploring.

MALCOLM MATTHEISZ

Manager – Europe

Mr. Mattheisz is a highly experienced professional in the tourism and hospitality industry for over 28 years, he started his career as Tour Assistant in year 1992, His industry experience includes a long career at Gulliver’s Travels for 17 years and thereby steadily moving into Sales & Marketing at Taprospa Resorts for 8 years, He spends his spare time watching cricket and soccer, also likes travelling & exploring.

SAATHIRA MAHROOF

Manager – Asia and Middle East

Ms Saathira Mahroof joins our team as Manager Asia and Middle East. She started her career as a Trainee Executive in 2009 at a DMC. She headed the Asia and Middle East Markets during her 10 years of service from 2012 before joining the Exciting Team . She has a vast knowledge about Sri Lanka and in providing the most satisfying holiday packages for the specified Markets. Her passion is discovering new destinations and creating new experiences. She enjoys reading books during her free time.

LAKSHIKA WEERAKKODY

Assistant Accountant

Lakshika is currently working as an Assistant Accountant in our team. She started her career in 2017 as an audit trainee. She later contributed directly to the auditing of many institutions in Sri Lanka in the field of auditing for more than 3 years. She has since worked as an Account Executive in the Advertising Agencies related service providers. She prefers to explore and develop new accounting systems. She has completed the Final Level at the Institute of Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka. Her wish is that our society should not always be based on finances. She is also a keen sport enthusiast.

Harinda Weerasinghe

Consultant

Harinda Weerasinghe has been in the hotel industry for over three and a half decades. He specializes in Marketing and Operations and has held positions such as Front Office Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, and Resident Manager. In these roles, he was responsible for all operations, including Guest & Public Relations, Administration, Human Resources, Security, and Health & Safety. He has managed a staff cadre of over 800. Harinda has travelled extensively in Europe, the Far East, Eastern Europe, and the SAARC Region. He has initiated numerous CSR projects in the tourism industry. Currently, he is a board member of a foreign company exporting tactical wear and also a board member of a leading security company.

NISHAN WIJEKOON

Head of Marketing – UK , Europe and USA

Nish has got over twenty years of experience in the Travel and Leisure industry. Especially with the outdoor sector though. He has gained most of his knowledge and experience in Europe and Sri Lanka. Currently, he is handling UK, European and the USA markets. He is based in London and Colombo partly. Music and travel is his passion although he is more keen on fitness, sports and nature.

MOHAMED WAZEER

Consultant

Mohamed Wazeer has over 25 years’ experience in product development and sales. In the course of his long career, he has worked successfully as Director Product Development and Sales for one of the leading WholeSale Tour operators in Saudi Arabia and achieved large volumes of Sales, profits, and multiple awards from Tourism Promotion boards and leading hotel chains.

MANUELA SCHNEIDER (MS)

Consultant

Ms. Schneider is our new representative of Exciting Travel Holidays in Germany/Switzerland and Austria. Her experience combines 32 years of high-end priced product sales, marketing strategies and customer service. In addition, she holds an international tourism management degree, tour guiding degree and cosmetic spa management certificate. She worked in Sri Lanka, Maldives, United States, Germany, and Switzerland.Ms. Schneider speaks German and English fluently, basic Italian and charms our Swiss clients with perfect Swiss German dialect. Besides her qualifications in tourism, we appreciate her talent in writing our brochure texts in both languages, German and English. Meanwhile she is an award-winning book author. So far Ms. Schneider has won 8 American awards for her works as author. She combines her love for Sri Lanka, her creativity and experience to help us to create unforgettable holidays for our wonderful clients.
