The winding corridors of our beach hotel in Bentota lead to the many Standard Rooms, offering views of our expansive gardens, calm lagoon and the ocean beyond. We call our main hotel restaurant Peacock for two reasons:Its vibrant atmosphere and colourful spread of eclectic dishes from around the world for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Peacock Restaurant hosts a grand lunch buffet on the weekends, and a spread of delectable choices laid out every single day of the week, including Asian specialties and specialty Indian cuisine prepared by our very own Indian Chef. Whether you’re a guest at our hotel or dropping by for a meal, our buffet spread is the best you’ll find in Bentota.

Araliya restaurant

Our minimalistic Araliya Restaurant offers a selection of à la carte items, including Italian and Asian cuisine. Since you’re on our coastlines, the Lobster & Prawn Seafood Platter should be a ‘must-order’.The seafood is always fresh, succulent and will keep you wanting more. When you’re done with your starter and main meal, move on to our dessert trolley and give in to your sweet tooth.

Sooriya terrace

The Sooriya Terrace, as its name suggests, continues to extendour theme of sunshine and bright tropics. An open terrace by the poolside, the restaurant faces the calm waters of the lagoon and our expansive green gardens. This Al Fresco dining venue is constantly lively with its many action stations and show kitchen. Watch our chef toss up a pizza mid-air or cook up pastas, sandwiches and more. Maybe you’re dropping by at one of those in-between moments – why not pick a flavour of one of our homemade ice creams or indulge in our higher-than-high tea that features jaggery hoppers and other sweet Sri Lankan fusions. On Saturdays, those of you in Colombo should take a drive down, pick your catch of the day at the fish market and have our chef cook up a special storm for you.

Pontoon

We create an eclectic destination dining experience at our Bentota hotel with The Pontoon, a floating restaurant that takes you out on the river as you sip on cocktails and indulge in our succulent BBQ dinners. Maybe you’d like an early morning breakfast on the river? Head out with your special someone with a champagne breakfast for two and a calypso band waking you up to a romantic morning on the river. All festivities here are cozy, so we don’t recommend that more than 25 of you are aboard at any given time because you need to have a sense of space to let the ambiance truly take hold of you. The Pontoon is ideal for intimate weddings, anniversaries and honeymoon mornings with the option of choosing your own menu and entertainment on board. On Sunday mornings, the Pontoon sets sail around the lagoon with a grand breakfast for all.

Lounge Bar

The scent of cinnamon drifts across the comfortable seating and large tables of the Lounge Bar that comes with a wide assortment of local and international beverages, a special snack menu and live entertainment. This morning-to-late-night lounge and bar is a great place for getting out of the heat of the midday sun or for pre-dinner drinks. Saturday evenings also see cultural performances letting guests get a dose of vibrant Sri Lankan entertainments. Our outdoor terrace seating is a great place to watch the sun go down, as you inhale heady shisha flavours and sip on refreshing cocktails.
