The history of Beruwala dates back to the 10th century when the first permanent Arab settlements in Sri Lanka were noted to have been there, and it is this Turkish architecture that has been the inspiration of this resort. Cinnamon Bey is named with reference to this history and is the term used to address provincial noblemen of the Turkish Empire. Rooms

SUPERIOR ROOMS

The 170 superior rooms (420sq ft) are located on the left wing of the hotel with the breathtaking view of the azure Indian Ocean. Decorated with wooden lattice work, complimentary hues and mosaic patterns, the ambience of the rooms are designed to resemble that of the ancient Turkish architecture which is the overriding theme of Cinnamon Bey. Each room has a terrace/balcony with a view of the garden and the sea beyond.

DELUXE ROOMS

Located on a separate wing with an exclusive swimming pool, the 28 deluxe rooms (530sqft) offer luxurious accommodation with plenty of space for relaxation and indulgence giving guests further comfort and privacy. The en-suite bathroom opens out to the view of the translucent ocean. The designs of the rooms are in line with the overall Turkish architectural resemblance with the use of bright blue hues and trellis work that form mosaic patterns.

SUITES

The 2 suites (1440sqft) located on the top most floor of the resort include its own living and dining area along with a secluded plunge pool on the balcony which offer amazing vistas of the Indian ocean that enhances luxurious accommodation. The suites exemplify the exuberance of the Middle Eastern influence and pamper the discerning traveller.
