They are divided into two categories as mahoora elite & mahoora explorer. Mahoora elite is set with a touch of luxury, providing more space for guests who prefer comfort during their stay. Mahoora explorer is preferred by guests who are looking for satisfying comfort with nature.

Accommodation

A spacious tented (32’x10.8’) accommodation with bedroom, living area, an en-suite bathroom, and a cosy veranda outside the tent.
Tented accommodation with raised double beds with freshly laundered bed linens and a bedside table along with basic amenities.
A mosquito net for the raised bed.
The living area includes a comfortable couch, a coffee table, easy chairs, with enough lighting.
Two fans are provided. One in the bedroom and the other in the living room.
A baggage rack is provided.
Clothes hangers and a cloth rack is provided.
A small veranda just outside the living area is equipped with a shoe rack and 2 folding arm chairs to relax and enjoy nature.
Each tent is provided with 2 exclusive hammocks just outside the tent.
A fully-carpeted, sealed tent with ventilation nets.
Electricity is provided round the clock for both Elite and Explorer options.

En-Suite Bathroom

En-suite flushable toilet with pipe borne hot and cold water shower
A wash basin is provided along with a mirror.

Game Drives

All entry permits, park fees, and Government taxes for the entire stay are included.
An exclusive Jeep with front-faced comfortable elevated seats is provided for maximized game viewing and photography opportunities.
An experienced naturalist is exclusively provided for each booking. You are not sharing either the Jeep or the naturalist.

Complimentary picnic basket for the Safari with chilled beverages and snacks for the safari break will be provided.
Two game drives per each night stay will be provided.
(The morning safari starts from the camp at 5.30 a.m. till 10.00 a.m. The park gate opens at 6.00 a.m. The afternoon safari starts from the camp at 2.30 p.m. till 6.00 p.m.)
Full-day safari option will be provided for guests staying more than a night.
For pre-requested wildlife photographers, we provide monopods, bean bags etc. during the safari.
Unlimited water will be provided.

Unlimited local alcoholic beverages (beer, arrack, gin, and brandy) and imported wine will be provided throughout the day.

Tented accommodation with 2 raised single beds put together including freshly laundered bed linens and a bedside table along with basic amenities.
A mosquito net for the raised bed.
1 fan is provided in the bedroom.
A baggage rack is provided
Clothes hangers and a cloth rack is provided.
The veranda/porch includes a coffee table equipped with a shoe rack and two foldable arm chairs.
A hammock is provided in the vicinity for relaxing.
A fully-carpeted, sealed tent with ventilation nets.
Electricity is provided round the clock for both Elite and Explorer options.

Mahoora Safari Experience

Yala National Park Safari

The Mahoora tented camps are located bordering the yala national park with about 15 to 20 minutes drive to the park’s ticket office. As this campsite is located just next to the park’s boundary, guests are able to experience something very similar to living inside the park. If you are fortunate you may even encounter wildlife in the campsite itself. We have experienced Elephants and Leopards visiting the campsite.

You are able to start the Yala Safari as early as 5.30am and continue till 7.00pm. Early morning and late evenings are the best times for wildlife viewing and photography /filming.

The complete Mahoora experience with luxury safari jeeps and expert game drivers, professional naturalists, snacks / beverages / water /tea & coffee are available unlimited. What’s more a yala safari with our professional team is a unique and holistic experience. We believe such experience can be provided by us, as we are well experienced and has the expertise.

In general, a hotel will not be able to offer the same services as their area of expertise is very different.

If there is a full day yala safari, we are able to provide a complete hot lunch served inside the park without returning to the campsite. This saves time and energy spent on traveling to the camp for lunch.

However, clients have the option to go back for their meal and return for the evening safari after enjoying an exquisite lunch.

We can also extend customized services for clients. (Family safari / honeymoon safari / photography safari / walking safari etc)
