Mandara Rosen

There is much to experience in the south of Sri Lanka where the history of the ancient Ruhunu Kingdom dates back to the 2nd century B.C. The south is also blessed with an abundance of wilderness and beautiful sunkissed beaches. Mandara Rosen meets the need for a comfortable and well-equipped hotel in this region. The real excitement begins as the family climb aboard one of the many jeeps that pull up the drive each day 6am to embark on a Yala safari to search for leopards. The entrance beside Rosen is ideally located to catch early sunbasking leopards on the rock.

Rooms

Mandara Rosen offers 52 well appointed rooms that include 2 suites and 4 family clusters. The standard double rooms are approximately 400 sq. ft. and are well-furnished with twin or double beds, Satellite TV with in-house movies, Minibar, electronic safety lockers, tea/coffee making facilities and attached bathrooms with H/W showers.

Dining

The “Petal” Restaurant offers guests gourmet delights that spell out the exotic and fresh Sri Lankan cuisine along with a variety of fresh wine and spirits at the bar with Karaoke facilities.

To keep up with the traditional pilgrimages to the sacred city, a “Pure Vegetarian” meal with garden fresh vegetables and fruits are served on the “All Day Dinning” Menu.

Facilities

Equipped with a unique ‘Underwater’ music system, Mandara Rosen boasts of the largest swimming pool and children’s swimming pool in the region. For recreational purposes the hotel also houses a fitness centre, table tennis, badminton and a variety of indoor games. Conference and secretarial facilities are also available with modern audio visual equipment along with fax, email and internet, information and transport facilities.
